I motivi che mi spingono a scrivere sono due fatti di cronaca, uno noto, quello del caso Englaro, l’altro più subdolo e nascosto, che è quello dell’articolo 50 bis della legge 733.

Il primo caso è noto, e mi chiedo semplicemente: ma se il governo (con l’opposizione che fa da appoggio in questo caso) è così veloce a leggiferare in così poco tempo contro una risoluzione giuridica che è dovuta andare a colmare un cratere legislativo, mai affrontato per anni, allora che cazzo hanno fatto fino ad adesso? Magari se fossero stati così veloci su altre cose, non avremmo tutti sti problemi in italia. 

Con tutto il rispetto per la sorte della famiglia Englaro, ma forse la crisi economica e milioni di famiglie che rischiano di perdere vitto e probabilmente alloggio, ha un peso decisamente rilevante sulla sorte di una donna in coma da anni che aveva (come certificato dai giudici) espresso il desiderio di NON vivere come l’hanno costretta a vivere negli ultimi anni.

Lasciatela morire in pace, perdinci. Se non capite che la morte fa parte del ciclo naturale della vita, quelli contro natura siete voi.

Se c’è, come voi dite, un Dio nell’ infinito, guardatevi nel cuore, l’ avete già tradito.

Perchè? perchè se davvero esiste un Dio, allora l’accoglierà tra le sue braccia, ed il posto in cui sta andando a finire è decisamente di dove siamo noi ora.

Se invece siete dei materialisti:

Voi materialisti, col vostro chiodo fisso, che Dio è morto e l’ uomo è solo in questo abisso, 
le verità cercate per terra, da maiali, tenetevi le ghiande, lasciatemi le ali.

e ritenete questa vita, l’unica cosa che abbiamo, non essendocene un’altra dopo, allora perdonatemi, non avete capito un cazzo. Far campare una donna che non ha più coscienza, in coma per oltre 15 anni, non è vita. E’ accanimento. E se la chiamate vita, voi non avete idea di cosa sia la vita. 

In Italia, un essere umano, non è neanche libero di morire come vuole.

Il riferimento del secondo punto di quanto sto scrivendo lo trovate al seguente link di Punto Informatico.
Nel disegno di legge 733 è presente l’articolo 50 bis Repressione di attività di apologia o istigazione a delinquere compiuta a mezzo internet, sotto forma di emendamento proposto da Giampiero D’Alia, che recita le seguenti parole:

1. Quando si procede per delitti di istigazione a delinquere o a disobbedire alle leggi, ovvero per delitti di apologia di reato, previsti dal codice penale o da altre disposizioni penali, e sussistono concreti elementi che consentano di ritenere che alcuno compia detta attività di apologia o di istigazione in via telematica sulla rete internet, il Ministro dell’interno, in seguito a comunicazione dell’autorità giudiziaria, può disporre con proprio decreto l’interruzione della attività indicata, ordinando ai fornitori di connettività alla rete internet di utilizzare gli appositi strumenti di filtraggio necessari a tal fine.

        2. Il Ministro dell’interno si avvale, per gli accertamenti finalizzati all’adozione del decreto di cui al comma 1, della polizia postale e delle comunicazioni. Avverso il provvedimento di interruzione è ammesso ricorso all’autorità giudiziaria. Il provvedimento di cui al comma 1 è revocato in ogni momento quando vengano meno i presupposti indicati nel medesimo comma.

        3. I fornitori dei servizi di connettività alla rete internet, per l’effetto del decreto di cui al comma 1, devono provvedere ad eseguire l’attività di filtraggio imposta entro il termine di 24 ore. La violazione di tale obbligo comporta una sanzione amministrativa pecuniaria da euro 50.000 a euro 250.000, alla cui irrogazione provvede il Ministro dell’interno con proprio provvedimento.

        4. Entro 60 giorni dalla pubblicazione della presente legge il Ministro dell’interno, con proprio decreto, di concerto con il Ministro dello sviluppo economico e con quello della pubblica amministrazione e innovazione, individua e definisce i requisiti tecnici degli strumenti di filtraggio di cui al comma 1, con le relative soluzioni tecnologiche.

        5. Al quarto comma dell’articolo 266 del codice penale, il numero 1) è così sostituito: “col mezzo della stampa, in via telematica sulla rete internet, o con altro mezzo di propaganda”.».

Le conseguenze di questo emendamento sono, tra le altre cose, come chiarisce l’articolo di punto informatico, che gli ISP diventano corresponsabili del reato.

La cosa che mi fa infuriare, mi deprime e mi lascia perplesso, è l’atteggiamento e la direzione che ha preso l’Italia, dove invece di andare ad intervenire sul crimine e o atti criminali con gli organismi preposti al controllo e alla prevenzione, si demanda a terzi la responsabilità, scaricando su di essi solo gli oneri.

Il problema clandestini viene affrontato obbligando ospedali e medici a denunciare i clandestini che come pazienti si presentano da loro

In edilizia si demandano controlli fiscali di un’impresa, al committente.

Ora nel mondo informatico, l’eventuale reato di opinione o di apologia di reato, viene demandato agli ISP, che dovrebbero oscurare e filtrare le pagine incriminate.

Mi vengono in mente le seguenti considerazioni, così a casaccio:

• Se passa la legge, allora i siti di repubblica, corriere della sera (tanto per citarne due) e tutti quei giornali che hanno riportato le parole dei “cattolici” che hanno invitato a NON rispettare la norma sulla denuncia dei clandestini, dovrebbero oscurare quegli articoli: di fatto stanno pubblicando un’invito all’eversione ed a commettere un reato in barba alle leggi italiane
• Ugualmente non dovrebbero essere pubblicati articoli in cui sempre i “cattolici” dicono che l’uomo è superiore alla legge: in sostanza un altro chiaro invito a non rispettare la legge se la si ritiene ingiusta
• Un’altra conseguenza sarebbe quella di spostare il proprio sito altrove, fuori dai confini italiani: in tal modo non violo nessuna legge (o meglio, magari la violo anche, ma non rischio di essere censurato e non metto l’ISP nella spiacevole situazione di dover intervenire), peccato che tolgo del lavoro agli ISP italiani
• Il fatto che sia discrezionalità del ministro intervenire o meno, che vuol dire? come gli gira al mattino? come ha fatto colazione? Le leggi dovrebbero essere chiare, non vaghe, non discrezionali, eccheccazzo. Se mi fosse oscurato un articolo, e faccio aprire un processo sulla cosa, sai che bordello per il giudice di turno andare a capire quale principio applicare in questo caso? Il ministro è ministro, mica giudice imparziale: ci sarà un motivo se potere giudiziario e legislativo sono separati. Non credo che sia lecito unirli con un articolo del genere (o come nel caso Englaro leggiferando per andare contro una decisione di un giudice)

Another post about WotLK, yes. And yes, I’m a wow fan. And no, I’m not 80 yet (atm) and not because I’m a nub. Just because I don’t want to rush in the new content. 

Why? because the following three reason.

First score: questing.

Questing and exploring  in WotLK is much better than TBC, for many reason… the quests are more fun, have a “overall” sense in terms of lore and story and progression, are a bit different (the idea of “vehicles” is good). And questing IS the way to level, since pure grinding pay not so much. 

Second score: graphics and sound.

It is impressive how blizz guys have achieved with the same old engine. Fire effects and “portal” effects are impressive. The whole environment is more suggestive than TBC. (If you want to see a nice tour, check this article out.) In particular Grizzly Hills is really close to the Giant Sequoia Forest (which I strongly suggest you to visit). I really like the “nordic” music they created for Northrend and it is much better than TBC soundtrack

Third goal: lore.
I really feel involved in this siege against the Lich King: the Wrath Gate event is something to remember and the “traitor” cutscene in TDK is really fun/frustrating and it increased my will to face and beat the traitor Arthas. While levelling and gearing up to attempt (and finally win) Black Temple, I’ve never felt such involvement. Akama quest line, in the end, doesn’t hit me too much. 

What I liked more, in tbc, was the Caverns of Time quest and instances. Fortunately they added Culling of Stratholme in this expansion, so I can enjoy the WCIII exciment once again

A series of final considerations (could sound like the fourth score)
Having two starting point, the zones were less crowded and it reduced the lag, the bug and the queue to kill that specific mobs. 
Yes: we had a queue to access the server, but it was done, IMO, to reduce the lag. After the first week I’ve never been queued again. This make me think they reduced intentionally the queue allowing more people to log at the same time, just because now the players are well distributed across the continent.

But I should say, win fanatic vs mac fanatic.

I’m a win user and a mac user, and based on my personal experience, I can’t say if a system is better then the other one on an absolute level. Usually in all discussion I had the misfortune to get into, I always closed with: It very depends on what you need.

Because in the end both OS/platform have pros and cons. And no, I’ll not name there here. I just put that discussion on /ignore, since I’m bothered enough. On my guild site, there are lots of endless, useless,  discussion about this topic, and really I don’t want to convince anyone about the best platform you have to use, even if some advice could be useful.

You need to surf the net, check your mail, use office (YES! office!!)  watch some video, colecting pics and video? Get a Mac. You won’t change it in 5 years.

You need to work with databases, asp, iss, programming language in general? Get a PC. (Maybe in future you want to install Ubuntu, but that is another story )

But just to be clear: in most of the cases you can do everything with either systems, so please stfu and choose the one you like more, instead of wasting words and time on that topic. (btw it is true that a pc crashes more often than a mac, but it isn’t true that macs don’t crash at all! The key words here are: more and often)

Usually this discussion are related to the battle between Jobs and Gates:

But I have several consideration about it:

1. WTF only one? 
2. Now that Gates retired, Jobs is richer? Mac users have their penis increased? I don’t think so.

BUT this time I have to put Berlusconi on /ignore and ask President Obama to do the same (LOL as if He would ever read this page ).

Our First Minister Berlusconi is not new to use “supposed to be ironic” expression or to do “supposed to be nice” action.  And every times he act like this, someone (tipically all the international newspapers, check this link out, and some of the italian newspapers) point out how:

What to say? He’s a genius and a fool! 

Anyway, if you want to know more about this … artist, check his videos  and homepage out.

When I started this blog, I had the big problem to produce some little graphic adjustment without having the tool (and the skill, ofc ). So the first idea was: Photoshop.  

But as often, the first idea isn’t the smartest one.

Why? 

Because Photoshop is an amazing tool for image editing, but it is oriented to:

• Professional photographers
• Serious amateur photographers
• Graphic designers
• Web designers

(as the official site states) 

And I am none of them. Moreover, the licence costs 699$.

So what? Paintshop Pro?

Same story, even if the price is lower.

The price is only  69$, but again it is beyond my needs! Those two products are damn good for editing, but I don’t want to spend money at all for that.

I’m an amateur, and the need I have is really 1% of those products. And moreover, what if I have to draw something, instead of edit an existing picture? I have to spend money for Illustrator, and again: too much for what I really need.

Alternatives? Pirates, bittorrent, eMule and peer to peer in general are a big nonono.

Why? Illegal and unfair. Just because I don’t want to spend money ’cause I can’t find what I need, doesn’t mean I have rights to steal products like that. So just put those alternatives on /ignore.

The real Alternative I found is coming from the opensource world. A friend of mine, Artikid, suggested me to try and check the following products:

• Gimp
• Inkscape

The first one, Gimp, is the open source answer to Photoshop. It  has many, many usefull features. You can find the full information here.

What I like most are: 

• Can read all the photoshop format and support many formats
• Digital Retouching
• Supported Platforms

On the last point, the achievment is more interesting since the product is distributed for the following platforms:

• GNU/Linux (i386, PPC)
• Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista)
• Mac OS X
• Sun OpenSolaris
• FreeBSD

The second one, Inkscape, is a good starter for vector design. You don’t need Illustrator, if you need to draw simple things.

Inkscape supports many advanced SVG features (markers, clones, alpha blending, etc.) and great care is taken in designing a streamlined interface. They don’t lie. It has capability similar to Illustrator and the rest.

If you take a look to this blog, the animated gif in the upper left corner has been made in few minutes using Inkscape and Gimp. Same story for two of the banners in the header: in few minutes and using Gimp. Same story for the picture I used and watermarked for the post I should I have been legend. 

So my conclusion is that those products are really simple to use, and they are fully documented online. Even if you think the editing work I did on this blog is crap, take in account I have absolutely no skill. 

A final consideration. If you can’t stand big corporates, there are many ways to fight them, if you have this kind of attitude.

The looser way, is to steal and crack their products.

The winner way is to use alternatives.
